A family history blog for the Marxer,
This hat belongs on the funny lady you posted last week! I wonder why he was wearing it.
Wouldn't you like to know the story behind that hat?
Wonderful, Jennie - New Man was around earlier than I thought :-) Jo
Love "Speak their names often and remember them well and they'll never be far away." Your blog is wonderful. The photos and sayings are priceless, and the research is amazing.I've known your mother for years. My mother and I stayed with her parents on Smelter Hill when my dad and uncle were overseas during the war. Afterwards, I stayed with my grandparents every summer and remember the year your grandfather made your mom the "play house." I knew your grandfather and grandmother well. (Your grandfather was probably my grandfather's best friend.) Nell and my mother used to call Judy and me the "goony birds" because we laughed so much when we were together.Best to you.
Thanks for those memories Bobbie. You'll always be Bobbie Jean in my mind. Mom still talks about you all the time. Feel free to share any other memories you have. I'm after stories more than names and dates, in my research.
